On 5th March 2011 at 11 AM at the 17 Bidhan Sarani premises, there will be a seminar on the topic " Independence of Media and their role", moderated by Sri Sunil Gangopadhyay, the veteran author. Distinguist journalists will be present during the seminar.

On 6th March 2011, at 3 pm, there will be yearly Alumni Meet, jointly organized by the Alumnis and the College through various programs. Both premises of the College will remain open for the visit of the alumnis.

All are cordially invited. The alumni association and the College earnestly expect all ex-students to visit the college and actively participate in these two days program and make it a memorable event.

The Alumni of Vidyasagar College comprises of the ex-students of the college. Presently, the activities of the Alumni is managed by a Preparatory Committee. All ex-students of the college are invited to join  the alumni. The college is in process of acquiring infrastructure in three places in around Kolkata for under graduate and post graduate teaching and R&D work at doctoral and post doctoral level. This is a Herculean task and only with the active participation of the prudential ex-students of the college, the aim can be achieved.
